This Ability grants you insight into the System Information of a single individual or object that you can see which is at Near distance or closer. While Inspection can be used at a moment’s notice to gain basic information, uncovering additional details often requires an extended period of focus.

You reveal information from the target individual or object’s System Sheet. This is limited to Name and relatively obvious information, such as a creature’s apparent Lineage or an object’s Material. Non-obvious information (such as exact Attributes or Aptitudes, Ability Ranks, or trained Actions/Augments) are not normally accessible without the related Augments.

The target of Inspect can make an opposed perception Check using any senses they possess, including sixth senses or “hunches,” to detect that they are being targeted by this Action. The target gains a bonus on this Check equal to the Count of this Action.

        Tempo: +1, to max of Rank.

        While using Inspect on an individual or object, you may increase the Count to access additional information. Each additional Count added with this augment reveals one additional piece of obvious information. Any name or number that you do not already know is considered a separate piece of information. Some information, especially if it has been intentionally obscured, may require a higher Count to view.

      • Visual Empathy

        This augment allows you to visually examine a target to gain insight into the target’s current emotional condition and the potential related cause. A higher Rank will increase the accuracy of information gained and provide deeper insight.

    • Advanced

      • Assess Aptitudes

        Tempo: +5

        When Inspecting a creature, you can increase the Tempo by 5 to gain information about one of that creature’s Aptitudes. You can view one Aptitude per Augment Rank, and each Aptitude assessed increases the Tempo by 5.

      • Assess Attributes

        Tempo: +2

        When Inspecting a creature, you can increase the Tempo by 2 to gain information about one of that creature’s Attributes. You can view one Attribute per Augment Rank, and each Attribute assessed increases the Tempo by 2.
