Weapon Skill (Common)

Archery is a Weapon Skill that hones an individual’s proficiency with the bow and arrow to the highest degree. Those who master this Ability become expert bowmen, capable of delivering incredibly accurate shots with exceptional range and precision. Archery emphasizes marksmanship, steady aim, and rapid, deadly volleys.

You must wield a bow or similar projectile weapon to make use of this Ability.

Default Action

Loose Arrow

DT: Evasion.

You make a basic attack with a ranged weapon you wield, dealing normal damage for that weapon.

If you attack an Adjacent target with this Action, you have Disadvantage 1 on the Check.

        Tempo: 2 × [w].
        Range: Near.
        DT: Evasion.

        You attack then immediately follow up with a second attack. Roll the Check and damage separately for each attack. Both attacks must be made against the same target and are resolved on the same turn.

        If you attack an Adjacent target with this Action, you have Disadvantage 1 on the Check.

        Each Rank of this Action reduces the Tempo by 1 to a minimum of the weapon's original Tempo.

      • Sniper Shot

        Tempo: [w] + 4.
        Range: Far.
        DT: Evasion.

        With careful aim, you are able to make a ranged attack against a target at great distance, dealing normal damage with your weapon. If your weapon's maximum range is less than Far, you gain Disadvantage 2 on this Check.

        Each Rank of this Action reduces the Tempo by 1 to a minimum of the weapon's original Tempo.

        Distant Sniper Shot

        Tempo: [w] + 9.
        Range: Distant.
        DT: Evasion.

        You may use this improved version of Sniper Shot beginning at Rank 4.

        You are able to make a ranged attack against a target at even greater distance, dealing normal damage with your weapon. If your weapon's maximum range is less than Distant, you gain Disadvantage 2 on this Check. If your weapon's maximum range is less than Far, then you cannot use it to attack at this distance.

        Each Rank of this Action reduces the Tempo by 1 to a minimum of the weapon's original Tempo.

  • Augments

    • Basic

      • Accuracy

        When attacking with this Ability, you may add your Accuracy Rank to the Check. The Accuracy Augment only applies when the DT is based on Evasion.

      • Far-Sight

        Heightened perception allows you to easily spot distant targets. You add the Rank of Far-Sight to any Checks you make to visually notice something at Far distance or farther or make out the details of distant points of interest. You must have line of sight to be able to benefit from this Augment.

      • Precise Strikes

        Your weapon attacks made with this Ability deal additional damage equal to the Rank of Precise Strikes.

      • Target Vitals

        Tempo: +3.
        DT: +Rank.

        By taking the time to aim carefully, you precisely attack an enemy's vulnerabilities. You can increase the Difficulty Target of your check by an amount up to the Rank of this Augment to add the same amount of damage to your attack.
