By more quickly attuning with mana flows, you are able to gather MP twice as quickly. You may choose to gain 1 additional MP at each Count, up to a maximum equal to this Augment’s Rank. Increasing the MP gained with this Augment increases the Check DT as normal for gathering additional mana.
Example: Yensen Is’fa possesses Mana Gathering at Rank 4 and the Efficient Gathering Augment at Rank 2. By using this Augment, he is able to gather 1 MP per Count as normal plus 1 additional MP one the first and second Count. If Yensen gathers mana for Count 2, he will gain 4 MP. If he instead gathers MP for Count 4, the maximum his Rank allows, he will gain a total of 6 MP—that is 2 MP each for the first two Count and 1 MP at each Count thereafter.
